WiseUp ("WiseUp," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how WiseUp handles information when you use the WiseUp mobile application.

This policy is written for the current WiseUp iOS app. Replace the contact placeholders before publishing.

Summary

WiseUp is designed to work without requiring an account. The app stores your reading progress, saved insights, selected free books, streaks, XP, quest progress, and related preferences on your device. WiseUp does not sell your personal information, does not use third-party advertising, and does not track you across other companies' apps or websites.

Information We Do Not Collect

WiseUp does not require you to provide your name, email address, phone number, account credentials, contacts, photos, precise location, or other directly identifying personal information to use the app.

WiseUp does not include third-party advertising SDKs or cross-app tracking tools in the current app code.

Information Stored on Your Device

WiseUp stores certain app data locally on your device so the app can function properly, including:

This information is used to provide app functionality, such as showing your progress, keeping your saved insights available, recommending the next unread screen, and managing your free-book access.

This information is not transmitted to WiseUp servers by the current app.

Purchases and Subscriptions

WiseUp offers optional auto-renewable subscriptions through Apple in-app purchase.

Purchases, subscription billing, refunds, and payment information are handled by Apple through the App Store. WiseUp uses Apple's StoreKit framework to load subscription products, process purchases, restore purchases, and determine whether a WiseUp Premium entitlement is active.

We do not receive or store your full payment card details.

Apple may process purchase-related information according to Apple's own privacy policies and App Store terms.

Notifications

WiseUp may ask for permission to send local reading reminders after you complete a reel. If you allow notifications, WiseUp may schedule reminders on your device based on unread app content.

You can manage or disable notifications at any time in your device settings.

Sharing

WiseUp includes sharing features that let you create and share images of selected learning screens. Sharing only occurs when you choose to use your device's sharing tools. The destination app or service you choose may process the shared content according to its own privacy policy.

Analytics and Advertising

The current WiseUp app does not include third-party analytics, advertising networks, or tracking SDKs.

If we add analytics or similar services in the future, we will update this Privacy Policy and the App Store privacy information as required.

Data Retention

Local app data remains on your device unless you delete it, reset app data through available app features, or uninstall the app. Apple may retain purchase and subscription records according to Apple's own policies.

WiseUp is not directed to children and is not intended to collect personal information from children. The app is intended for a general audience interested in nonfiction learning.

International Users

WiseUp may be available in multiple countries or regions. Because the current app stores app usage data locally on your device and uses Apple for purchases, your payment and subscription information is processed by Apple according to Apple's policies and the App Store terms that apply in your region.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice in the app or through the App Store listing.
